The licensing process went very fast, we got additional questions in January and February and all of a sudden…. no news, no questions anymore and no approval…. We called our architect, but he didn’t have any update from the town hall, we called our lawyer but we couldn’t reach her…. Hence, off to Portugal 😉

After a very intense designing period of 4 months (poor architect John Wilson 😉 ), the plans for the new quinta are ready to be filed at the Camara. Hopefully they won’t need much time to approve the plans as we want to start as soon as possible. But here in Portugal…. you never know…

After a long proces of a few years, we were finally able to sign the deed of the purchase of our quinta in September 2018. Now, we can speed up with the plans and building license together with our architect John Wilson from Bespoke Archtitects. Hopefully, we can start building in January 2019 in order
